About LANECO
At LANECO Federal Credit Union, we're a family. A family of like-minded people saving money together to provide loans and make dreams come true. We're not a huge credit union. We only have one branch. But what we don't have in size we make up for in service. Since September 1958 we've been "Providing our members financial security with personal service." It's our promise to you.
When you're a member at LANECO, our close-knit staff will get to know you and welcome you to the credit union family. You'll experience it the first day you join. And you'll still feel it 30 years down the road.
LANECO finalized a merger with Champion International Federal Credit Union on September 30, 2000. This merger increased our membership base by another 1400 members. Champion was chartered December 1955 under the name of Plywood Workers Federal Credit Union with an opening membership of 21. In September 1960 the name was changed to U.S. Plywood Federal Credit Union. Then in January 1977, the name was changed to Champion International Federal Credit Union, and it remained that way until becoming part of the LANECO family.
Since establishing LANECO in 1958, we have made many enhancements and improvements, but none as outstanding as our CHARTER CHANGE in September of 2016 when the Board of Directors made the decision to seek the change to a community credit union. We now offer the benefits of our membership to not only your family and coworkers as in the past, but now your neighbors and acquaintances who live, work are educated or do business in Lane County.
We look forward to providing you and your family with the personal service you and other members have come to expect. As our motto states: Small in size. Big on service.
